HI Team,
We have installed SolarWinds in the C drive, and the Backup configuration of the nodes are stored in the C drive via NCM. But can we change the backup config path C drive to the D drive separately? Is that possible.
Yes possible, (Settings -> All Settings -> NCM Settings -> Config Settings) modify the folder to \ here
If you are talking about it from NCM Jobs perspective - as well check (Settings -> All Settings -> NCM Settings -> Config Archive Folder locations) if you see something in C:\ here then thats the one that you are passing on your NCM Jobs, so get into the Jobs and modify it to \ accordingly
However, I'm unable to edit the path archive directory from C to D. Are you sure that's possible?
Where ? Settings -> All Settings -> NCM Settings -> Config Settings OR Settings -> All Settings -> NCM Settings -> Config Archive Folder locations
What's the error ?
Both Settings -> All Settings -> NCM Settings -> Config Settings and Settings -> All Settings -> NCM Settings -> Config Archive Folder locations direct to the same page. When I click on the path determined field, I am unable to modify it.
As i said there are 2 things, if you have created a NCM Job then changes need to be made on the job and not here. By any chance can you paste an image of your config folder ? You can blank out or hide details that shouldnt be shared across.
The details that you see here in Config Archive Folder might be linked to your NCM Jobs. You should be able to see the Job name on Config Archive Folder if that's the case.
Then go to MY DASHBOARDS -> NETWORK CONFIGURATION -> JOBS
Select that specific job and edit and go to this section 'Add Job specific Details' and make the changes there, come back to Config Archive Folder settings and you should see the change accordingly.
This is where you check in a Job
As per your snapshot, there is not option in my solarwinds, How did you get this option
