Update Node category ID

Hi All,

I have updated node category but node category id is not getting updated. Can someone help me how it will be updated.

Why would you want to change an ID?

Node category id is showing as 0 which means it is marked as other, but they are network devices which means it should be 1 as per below table.

Category ID	Name
0	Other
1	Network
2	Server

How are you updating the categories? Through edit node? Is it not saved then?

Yes I am changing through edit node. It is saved successfully and showing the updated node category but the problem is - The updated node category i snot updated in 'node category id' it is a field which we are using in sql report.

If the updated node category ID isn't reflecting changes, try clearing your site’s cache and checking your permissions. If the issue persists, investigate any custom code that may be interfering. And if you love pets, consider a miniature dachshund for some companionship while you troubleshoot!
