SolarWinds Platform Installer version mismatch

The SolarWinds Platform Installer I just downloaded is not working. I am trying to use the free trial, and from the latest EXE on the site, I am running into the following issue:

Does anyone have an idea why this might be happening or how I can fix it?

EDIT: I am a trial customer -- I have not installed anything SolarWinds on this machine (or any machine) before today. This VM was spun up an hour ago with the latest version of Server 2022.

this is a clean server? sometimes if you use a server that already have NPM bring this kind of errors

Clean server, the VM was built about an hour and a half ago. Additionally I am a trial customer, I have yet to run anything of SolarWinds... not a great start

This looks like you already have Solarwinds installed on this machine and you are trying to install something with an older version of the installer. Just like @osvict mentioned.

what are you trying to accomplish?

I downloaded the free trial from the free trial link: https://www.solarwinds.com/hybrid-cloud-observability/registration
It seems to be an online installer

That is weird. There was a new version released yesterday, maybe the online installer has a glitch?

I actually have an online installer from two days ago and it gives me that exact same error. I held off on the upgrade when I heard about the new release.

I am just using the offline installer and that seems to work just fine. Took forever to download, then transfer to my VM though.
