Hi All,
NPM 8.0 was an absolutedelight and my most powerful management tool. As a result I decided to extendmy licensing and purchase the NetFlow Traffic Analyser module. Since NTA wasrelease 2.1, I upgraded NPM to 8.1.
Everything went smoothlywith the exception that the datetime conversion from varchar data in the webconsole resulted in an out-of-range value for all NetFlow data. A serviceticket was opened (Case # 15478) and all manner of logs, screenshots, eventlogs, etc etc etc etc were exchanged over a period of two weeks. Support finally indicated that the problem had beenresolved in NPM 8.5 & NTA 2.2.
Will great enthusiasm, Idownload the new versions and deployed as instructed - All hell broke lose; astory too long to explain. I finally uninstalled everything and started with afresh installation, save reusing the existing db, and managed to get NPMworking again, but still no luck with NTA. The configuration wizard ran throughsuccessfully and without incident including the db upgrade.
I subsequently noted thatthe automated login from a URL and integrated login from AD no longer work.What else doesn't work will no doubt be a wonderful surprise in the comingdays.
The problem I'm nowexperiencing is the following; When I select the NetFlow Traffic Analysis linkfrom the Modules toolbar I get the following error message;

I have reviewed all thethreads in this and other forums and made amendments to the environment assuggested in some threads including turning off DEP, ensuring the DTCservice is running etc etc etc. Furthermore, I have a default network interfaceselected against my view.
It is worth mentioning thatI am in South Africaand our Regional Settings are English UK with a shortdate ofdd/MM/yyyy and a customisation to currency field (being R). This istrue of our Windows 2003 R2 SP1, SQL 2005 & IIS environments.
I have to concur thatsupport's turn around time and, from my experience, QA before major versionrelease, have been seriously lacking.
I remain optimisticthat my and other frustrated users issues will be addressed as, in principle,Orion is an awesome product suite.
Ciao,
Craig
