Policy Reporting on Individual Switchports

Question

I am looking in NCM's Policy Reporter and I want to set up a report to see which switchports we have implemented different levels of port-security on. I have found a way to see if it is set to restrict or shutdown by Node, but I need to document it per switchport. Will I be able to do this in NCM?

I did see that prior to posting but I possess neither the skills nor the time to delve that deeply into SQL.I was hoping that if you were able to make that workaround a while ago they would have something implemented already. We are currently implementing port security network-wide but we have to give our departments time to get new drops installed or buy switches that we can manage to get all of the hubs and off-the-shelf switches off the network. Basically, I was hoping I could use NCM to document which ports had port-security aberrations so I would not have to also maintain shared spreadsheets.

I had the same issue for performing our QOS compliance reporting at the port level.

I created a method to do this using the infomation contained within NCM plus a few other SQL tricks (including parsing the config files down to the interface level).

A document outlining how I did this is in the content sharing zone ().

It's not easy and probably not recommended unless you are confident with SQL - but it shows what is possible.

I agree.  We would like to see this functionality included in a future release too.  We need the ability to identify what ports do not have port-security enabled on them.
