Suppressing Component Alerts after Windows Updates

Question

A reboot can take a while sometimes. For instance, Windows updates can cause extended reboot times. The box will start responding to pings, but services won't come up for maybe 15 minutes or so.

When this happens I get an Inbox Flood (TM) of alerts. Is it possible to configure components not to be alerted within a certain timeframe after restarting? Or maybe some other method of solving this false alerting scenerio?

It might be an option. Ideally the updates would send some sort of trap though.

Also, this utility is not appealing to me at first glance because:

1) It fails to connect to the Orion Server with my credentials and dumps a stack trace.

2) The word Utility is spelled wrong as "Utilility" which doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

3) Creating cmd files and them manually scheduling them with Windows task manager is pretty clunky.

Are you able to manage the update/reboot times? If so, just use the unmamage tool to block out the time. It is in the Customer Portal Under Additional Components.
