Incorrect count of config managed computers - error about license

We have 475 Inventoried Computers, but show 1001 Configuration Managed Computers. We've absolutely never had that many devices. Where does Patch Manager get that count? And where can I see details of what it's including? Is there something I can reset?

There are two things I would do first:

Go into your Task History, delete any task more than X days old (I'd say 30 to 90)
Go into Managed Computers, remove any deprecated or bogus machines

Does that help with the license issue?

Deleted task history over 30 days old and removed 16 devices that don't need to be managed. No change.

I deleted all history, then restarted the server it's on, and now my inventoried computers is at zero. Better than being doubled. Thanks for helping.

I have had to remove the history as well when the license number got too high. We have about 600 devices in our environment.
