Can anyone tell me why this happens when I try to print a NTA web page?
Is the reference to .NET FRAMEWORK meaning the desktop or is this from the server where Orion runs?
When I should be seeing this graphic:
Instead I get this .NET message:
I can't duplicate this on my test machine. What version of NTA and NPM are you running?
Was this from a print preview?
Thanks for the reply - NPM is 9.5 SP3 and NTA is 3.5 SP1
It was from a print preview and that how it printed at the printer - if left off the graphics in each TOP x but did print the tables below each graphic.
I cant see the whole error message. Can you attach it?
That's the only 'error' message I get (the one shown in the second screenshot) where it begins "This resource is not displaying correctly due to..."
But, I've also seen another one "Report loading cancelled." "Press F5 to refresh and try again".
_AND_
When I do a Print-Preview it has a RED-X icon indicating a missing graphic.
Same error here. I will uninstall NTA today....

To help us try to reproduce, can you please provide us the web browser version and OS you are using. I'm running Firefox 3.5 on Windows XP SP2 and I'm not having the same rendering issue you're experiencing
It happens at my desktop - Vista version 6.0 (Build 6002) SP2 with IE 7.0.6002 (Build 6002) SP2
And it happens at the Orion server - Windows Server Enterprise Edition version 5.2 (Build 3790) SP2 with IE 7.0.5730.13
(The desktop gives the .NET message (as shown in the screenshot) and at the server it's only shown as the Red-X icon)
Hi,
small question. Does it happen always, or randomly??
thanks
Well, it always happens when I use a Custom Date like 6/1/2009 through 7/1/2009 but I can't say I've seen it when generating others with less lengthly date ranges.
Thanks.
cool, thanks for direct us so we can reduce test scope. This error picture is generated in 2 main cases.
- we are not able to generate chart (invalid/incorrect/corrupted input data, or some .... i don't know)
- generated chart expired (this is not your case obviously)
Can you please open ticket for this and send us diagnostic after you reproduced it?
Just note, is it NTA 3.5 SP1, right?
Thanks a lot
Will do...and yes it is NTA 3.5 SP1. Thanks.
Did they ever resolve this for you? I am getting the same problem. No matter what browser or OS. Some graphs are fine others get the same errors as you discussed.
Thanks,
Nope - it was not resolved. The final status on my case was BUG-CLOSED.
Maybe the next release (3.6) will have a fix.
Cool, another who is able to reproduce this issue. I rember this task, it was assigned as bug for investigation, but we wasn't able to reproduce it at all. We asked for couple of questions about app pool to customer, but no answer as I remember. We saw, that application pool was restarted periodically and we saw that antivirus was scanning web directory very often. Actually each modification in web directory (especially bin) can cause restat of application pool.
I will discuss it with NTA team tomorrow, but as I remember, suggestion here was to exclude web directory from antivirus interest.
Thanks
The strange thing is that when it fails it is not consistent.
Sometimes I get a message about .NET 3.5, other times I get a message about, Report Canceled. This could be all the charts or just some. Right now it is hit and miss. I thought I had it figured out with the Expiring pages, but that isn't it.
