Hi,
We have a Dell Equalogic SAN and I was wondering if anyone has created a UnDP's for this yet? I just ran the MIB walker from the tool set and it returns 100's which is good.
Otherwise I shall start to build my own.
You can probably get some info via UnDP, but also check out this product, which we recently acquired which has storage management
Gonzo, any luck finding an answer, or building your own? I am currently in a trial of Solarwinds NPM / APM and one of my requirements for the trial is monitoring my EQ boxes. Thanks in advance.
I did a MIB walk against one and a lot of good info came back, I still haven't found the time to do this, but will soon. I take it you are using the free Dell Equallogic SAN Headquarters software for the moment? If not you will be amazed.
Yep, 1.8 and 1.9 Beta - SAN HQ is good stuff. I'll see if I can come up with something usable in the next couple of weeks as well.
Yeah, I'm on 1.8.30.0, we have just ordered 2 more Equ SAN's to cahin togther, can't wait, keep me posted. I'm trying to get the disk health, Disk space and temps first of all.
Hi,Did you get any of those to work? I am going through MIB Walk, but have not been able to find exactly what I need (other then Fan speed).
I would like to get Read\Write transfers, Temperature (current), Disk space, and Health. Haven't found anything yet, that works well in NPM.
Thanks in Advance.
I'm pulling these as well now - not an easy process.
To measure IOPS I think you're trying to get values from:
eqlMemberReadOpCount (1.3.6.1.4.1.12740.2.1.12.1.6) and
eqlMemberWriteOpCount (1.3.6.1.4.1.12740.2.1.12.1.7)
Hope that helps.
Does anyone know what units of measure the eqlMemberReadOpCount and eqlMemberWriteOpCount are being returned in? the numbers I'm getting look more like bytes read/write than IOPS calculations...
Much thanks!
well...2019 and I'm seeing the same thing with this OID. Not having much luck since the MIB itself simply says
"The number of read operations on this member. The value is reset to zero upon reboot."
