Device not showing up in web interface

I have recently added a new test device to my NCM system via the console and it shows up just fine in the console; however, when I go to the web interface the device is missing.

I have never had to do anything special on the other few nodes that I have added to get them to show up in the web interface that I am aware of. Is there something I am missing here?

P.S. I am new to this product and we are just now starting to work with it to roll it out.

Ah, that helps a lot.

I am accessing the NCM via the Network Configuration Manager module at the top of my NPM interface, I am assuming this is the integration module.

I guess I had assumed that if it was setup that way there wasn't a separate web interface for the NCM.

Adding the device to the NPM did resolve the issue.

Have you checked in the admin area -> manage nodes of the web and see if they show up there? I always use that area to add devices.

I am not sure what area you are talking about, this is for the Network Configuration Manager for which I am unaware of an Admin area for the web interface.

Are you using the Orion NCM Integration Module? This is an integration between Orion NPM and NCM. If so make sure that the node is also managed by Orion NPM.

If you are using Orion NCM Web Console and not seeing a node that you added then we have an issue that you should open as a support ticket. Just to make sure please verify that the node shows up correctly in NCM Win32 console on the server.

The node is showing up correctly in the Win32 console. We do have the NPM integration module installed and the node does not currently exist in NPM.

So, if I understand correctly; when you have integration module installed you need to have the node in both NPM and NCM for the node to show up in the NCM web interface?

Let's clarify there are two web interfaces in NCM.

Orion NCM Standalone Website

and

Orion NCM Integration Website (integration with NPM).

If you are using the NCM Standalone website then you should be able to see the nodes regardless of whether they were in NPM or not.

However if you are accessing NCM through the NPM integration module then only nodes that are part of NPM and NCM will show up.

One other thing to note on this is that a node must be managed by both NPM and NCM using the same IP address. This should be obvious, but it wasn't until I noticed configs not showing up in the NPM integration for one of my devices that I noticed that NPM was targeted (correctly) to the router's loopback interface IP address, and NCM was managing it via a physical interface IP address.
