Cisco ASA alerting for failed VPN tunnels

Hello

I am looking for a way to generate an alert if a (ANY) vpn tunnel fails to activate.

Should i generate from the syslog, or is there a smarter way (Eg. a OID i could poll??)

Any suggestions? THANS
