Does anyone know of a way to create an alert blackout?
We can create these blackouts on our other systems for scheduled reboots, system maintenance, etc and can't seem to find the same functionality in Orion.
Thanks in advance
Which version are you using? The Basic alerts have a checkbox to disable alerts- For the 8.1 Advacned Alerts you will need to Shutdown the Alerting Engine using the Advanced Featrtues->Shutdown NPM

I'm looking to have something much like the feature I have with BMC or Opmanager. I want it where I can setup a blackout from 7-9pm for certain devices so it doesn't send out unnecessary pages.
You can do that now by Unmanaging the device from "now" until Time X. In 8.5, you'll be able to set it from Time X to Time Y.
Thanks, that will work for now.
is there a way to use the "UnManage" option or any other option to create an actual blackout schedule? for example if devices get rebooted every week at a certain time it is not practical to re-enter the UnManage time in every week.
There is no re-occurrence setting available at this time.
in theory i could create a script that would, for example, run weekly and adjust the "UnManage" time accordingly to the current week? is this possible? if so, could you point me in the right direction for finding the SW UnManage info to point the script at. thanks
