Upgrade to NPM v9.1 Problems = nightmare

I completed an upgrade to v9.1 and it has been a nightmare ever since. I have opened numerous tickets with support and unfortunately have not gotten anywhere. In version 8.5 I had our website running very fast with no problems. Now here is what is going on:

-web painfully slow
-SQL server that runs the DB for solarwinds jumped 30-40% CPU just from the upgrade
-Solarwinds server jumped 20-30% in CPU since upgrade
-whenever I change off a link on my home page I get an error "System.Web.HttpException: Request Timed Out.
-Error on solarwinds server "SolarWinds.BusinessLayerHost" Microsoft Error report send
-APM slow cant even get into APM page off main page to manage application templates
-Launching System Manager takes 5 minutes on the SolarWinds server

I have uninstalled everything and reinstalled still the same problems.

Our environment:
SQL running on it's own server
-CPU is 2GHz Quad Core
-Server has 2GB memory
-Solarwinds NPM running on it's own server
Nodes: 115
Interfaces: 401

Mine was slow as well, but I found that the database-maintenance task was running for days. They made a change to the maintenance to get rid of some old data. Once the maintenance task had finally completed, my website picked up speed.

Can you see if the maintenance task is still running? Database-Maint.exe I believe will be in the process list.

Just a thought.

Support also mentioned this, I have verified and it is not "stuck" running. My maintenance runs in under a minute when I run it.

You do not have a lot of nodes, how big is the DB?

8GB in size, yeah I did not think our setup was "large". I have no idea on why it's running so poorly. I can't even click on one link to the next on the website without a time-out.

A new SP for APM was just released....

It has a fix for the job engine, which is shared by NPM and APM. If the problem persists, please open a ticket.

Denny...fyi I went from 9.0 to 9.1 last night and so far so good. I took me about 2 hours because of all the pollers we have and stopping/restarting services. I hope in a future release that the upgrade process for multiple servers is much easier. I do notice an improvement in web site loading which is great. I have opened a cosmetic issue with the cisco vendor icons (seeing both the new and old logos) on different things but that's about it.
