I think the answer is no. I searched the web IF and the DB and found nothing that would allow it.
Someone please confirm / deny this.
TIA
Chris
The UnDP's use the same polling interval as the Default Node Statistics Poll Interval... I think. This is set on at a global level but can be modified at a per-node level.
Byrona, you are correct. UnDP's use the same interval as the node's statistics polling interval.
The UnDP polling interval is based on the Job Engine which is every 5 minutes and is not customizable.
This has been a high feature request and hope to be able to have the ability to modify it soon.
Umm, we have two different answers from two different SWStaff members. Can I please get a clarification on this so that we are sure?
Casey is correct
Woohoo! It's not often I get to hear that from Brandon.
One other thing that wasn't in my last post. UnDP's assigned to Nodes use the node stat interval. UnDP's assigned to Interfaces use the interface stat interval.
Just to clarify why I asked. Ive got a UnDP polling for the Cisco SN. It seems like a network/cpu/db waste to collect it so often since it doesn't change .... much .....
I would be happy doing the poll once per week or month but adjusting the node stat interval to one week is just silly.
I did try to collect the Serial Numbers with an APM poller, but then I remembered that the statistic returned must be numeric.
Makes complete sense, this is an open enhancement request to control polling at a different interval for UnDP's vs. other polling
