I have followed the directions on the link below to enable SSL but I am only getting a blank page when I visit the site. SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Use CAC Web Authentication with Server 2008 Can someone point me in the right direction as to what maybe causing this issue.
I wouldn't use the SolarWinds-Orion cert, it's not really meant to be used for SSL on the web, it's for credential encryption for WMI credentials SolarWinds is using. I'd recommend using IIS to create a self-signed cert. Also, under SSL settings, what do you have configured there?
Can you show a screenshot of the bindings you have setup within IIS for the SolarWinds Orion website?
What certificate did you add to the server? Did you create a self signed cert, or did you have one already from the third party publisher or on-site CA?
I used the certificate that the SolarWinds software created.
It is a self-signed cert.
I just created a new certificate. Under SSL Settings I had it set as required..which is what the instructions suggested. I changed it to Accept it now gives me the login screen. Problem is now I cant login. Every password I try kicks me out.
Under authentication I have Windows Authentication enabled as suggested by the instructions.
IF you didn't set up Orion with Windows log ins yet, keep anonymous enabled to allow you to log in with the Orion logins you have been using.
