How to create a view to show selected custom properties

Question

I have around 20 custom Node properties added in dbo.Node.

I have a requirement to create a custom view to show 5 of 20 custom  properties.

I tried to create one using Admin->Manage Views->

It just allows me to select 'Custom properties for nodes' , doesn't let me select the properties we are interested in showing in the node detail view.

So is there any other way to achieve this ???, we don't to show all the custom properties in the view because many of them are internal and don't make sense to a user

ok, might have a better way...use roll over features they've added...

click on edit at top right of view, at bottom "customize tooltips"

add to appropriate area the given macro values.

so for interfaces, to have the rollover show bps in and out I type in the Orion.NPM.Interfaces:
In: ${InBps}
Out: ${OutBps}

you would do something like this in the Orion.NPM.Nodes:
custom1: ${customFieldName1}

wouldn't create a report, but would give you the info at your finger tips.

If I create a report to see the set of custom properties how do I pass the nodeId or ipaddress to the sql query because that is going to be dynamic.

I tried NodeID = ${NodeID} (where clause) in advance sql report

best way I've found is to create a custom report using SQL.  Once that is done and working, create a view that points to that report.
