Is there a way to configure NPM to not show unplugged ports under the alerts. We have hundreds of unplugged ports to our access switches to monitor up/down activity.
Gotcha - I figured out what was happening. When I added the interfaces, NPM marked them as down. When I edited them to be unpluggable, it never cleared the alarm. When I disabled the alert and re-added it, I was good. I also converted it to an advanced alarm. Thanks for all the help.
You can multi-select the user ports in Node Management, click the "Display as unplugged..." check box then alter the interface alert as shown below.
I have the ports setup as unpluggable, but I see them in the Interface Status alerts. I don't see the "Interface Status" alert in basic alerts to alter it.
Ah - it is an option in advanced alerts
I don't see any basic or advanced alerts call "Interface Status". How can I alter this alert?
The alert I show above is from the Advanced Alert Manager. It is the "Alert me when an Interface goes down" canned alert which I have edited. Take a look at this paper which can help understand the Advance Alert Manager.

This alert shows up under basic alerts not advanced alerts. I checked all the canned basic and advanced alerts and all have unplugged unchecked or removed.
I highly recommend doing this as an advance alert. First go into the Admin web interface and multi select the interfaces that are unpluggable. Then click the Display interface as unplugged..." button and submit. After that go to advanced alert manager and alter the trigger condition as shown above.
