Does not work.
This case was closed in Support with the following.
Enabled Full Text Search on the database.
Used the Web Console to perform the search.
In this particular case, policy required the retention of XX number of configs to be maintained in the database, making the search from the Application too slow and timing out.
The implementation of the Full Text Search is only helpful when performing the search from the Web Console.
Hi pyro--
I'll let PM know about this but can you help me out and be more specific?
Thx,
M
Sure,
Even if I cut a line out of a device config, paste in the search box, and only include the device I copied it from in the nodes to search, it doesn't find it.
Also doesn't work from the NCM web Console.
What browser/version are you using? We've seen some bugs with IE9 (not yet supported) and Search in NPM; 'just curious in case that might be the issue here.
Firefox 4 but the problem also exists in the native application on the server.
Will ask if there is something obvious. If not, next step will be to open a case. Stay tuned.
Asked Dev and tried with my own 6.1 server and it works. Nothing obvious comes to mind.

Many thx,
Where do I find the "enable full text search on database" setting?
It's a check box in the Configuration Wizard. Feature must be installed on your SQL server too.
