Does anybody have a MS Project Plan for implementing the Solarwinds products? Thanks in advance
We have recently purchased Solarwinds Orion and I was hoping to leverage others experience prior to diving into the implementation. Did you develop a project plan that you'd be willing to share?
I am considering putting this type of document together, but for me it is partly in the past. This said, however, if this document would prove useful for others, I am thrilled to contribute this document and the supporting materials to the community. Who would truly benefit from these materials, etc.?
I would very definitely be interested in the documentation.

paulwaits,
Great! Do you prefer ITIL, Method1 (American Express-->produced in collaboration with Accenture Consulting), PMI, or another discipline altogether?
Don Price
PMI preferred. Thank you!
Okay, let me see if we cannot find one or two additional people to provide their needs and feedback. I simply want to ensure I am helping people and helping them in their discipline; fortunately for me, I spent many years practicing in at least half a dozen project planning programs.
In the mean time, what is most critical for your success and what is most pressing for you at the moment? As you know, the content is quite similar--from one discipline to the next--but the format is what changes within the majority of the waterfall-esque project management flavors. Extreme project planning changes things quite a bit--such as Scrum (after all, this is a MS .NET architecture)--but the primary content remains the same.
I am asking a couple of other people to contribute to this discussion; there 'Mention[s] are below:

Thank you,
We have decided to approach this as a hybrid Agile / Waterfall project.
The biggest reason for that is I do not have dedicated resources and still
must work around higher priority projects to obtain necessary resources.
What I most want to see is the implementation path. We've started with
Orion NPM; are there configuration concerns that we need to consider before
proceeding to Network Configuration Manager or Patch Manager? As we begin
configuring the NPM, what should we expect for the timing and duration of
tasks? Any lessons learned on implementation and configuration would be
greatly appreciated.

Hi Paul,
I hoped to receive additional feedback, and perhaps we will as we go forward, but for now, I'll begin putting something together. Which products/modules are you looking at incorporating into your environment?
