Good day,
Could anybody provide me with list of supported device by VNQM?
Hi,
it depends what you are looking forward to use.
IPSLA functionality coming from Cisco IOS 12.3 and higher (you may validate your devices on Cisco web site).
VoIP & CDR functionality in VNQM is now related to Cisco Call managers v 6.x, 7.x and 8.x
Please let me know if you need better clarification.
thanks,
Michal
Hi Michail,
So I can't use VNQM with Cisco ASA/PIX devices?
Not for CDR functionality. I would have to validate IP SLA capabilities on Cisco site (it could depend on specific model).
What problem do you need to resolve with this product?
I need to have information about Response Time and %Packet Loss between locations, but I don't have routers there, only Cisco ASA 5510 or 5520.
As I know Cisco ASA doesn't support SNMP Write - main requirement for VNQM, also, as I understand, ASA devices support only IP SLA ICMP Echo, not ICMP Path Jitter.
So, can I solve my problem with VNQM?
Hi Michal,
What is the roadmap for Call Manager Version 9 support? Thanks
our engineering is now investigating key differences of CCM v9 vs v8 - so far it looks as almost the same so we should be backward compatible (unofficially) - feel free to try eval VNQM on CCM v9. I'll definitely come back with official statement for CCM 9 support.
I think you can use ICMP Path Jitter operations since this doesn't require responders on your endpoints. We didn't test ASA devices you mentioned - but it should work if it does support IPSLA (according to Cisco webpage). You can try it for free and see the outcome.
let me know if you need some help.
So, if I understand correct: I should config IP SLA manually on my devices and after add devices to VNQM?
Hi. Has there been any official statement for CCM9 support?
