Alerts/Syslog problems after 10.1 Upgrade

Since our upgrade of Orion to 10.1 last week, it appears that wrapped URLs that are sent in alert emails are being cut off at 72 characters and breaking the underlying hyperlink in some clients, in particular, our trouble ticketing system. In addition to this, I notice that syslogs that are forwarding out as emails are being formatted now in Times New Roman. I'm pretty sure this is not a client-specific issue, as nothing has changed in my client. My server guys say that there may be a new header being attached to the emails that indicate some type of specific formatting. Comparing the headers between emails sent from Orion two weeks ago with what is being sent now, I see a lot of new information:

The Times New Roman is not a big deal, but the breaking of URLs kind of is. Any idea if this could be the issue?

We have a hotfix in support would should resolve your issue. You will need to upgrade to 10.1.1, which you can also get from them.

I have a similar problem that I posted here about. The alert emails I'm getting are being sent in HTML instead of plain text now, which my ticketing system also now truncates (haven't counted the characters it cuts it off at yet though). Nobody has been able to give me any ideas on workarounds yet.

Thanks. Glad to see I'm not the only one. We are investigating whether or not we can strip the extra headers out with our Ironport mail gateways or the mail server itself. I'll let you know what we find. In the long run, though, I think that SW needs to revert to the previous configuration - I can't imagine why it was changed.

Any updates on this? Our support team is getting increasingly frustrated with not being able to click on links to Ack alerts or update properties. We've tried modifying the header information with our Ironport mail gateways, but this doesn't work, since I believe that the encoding is set by the email sender and cannot be arbitrarily changed simply by modifying header info.

We've also encountered email formatting issues since upgrading to 10.1. When attempting to forward the message without on email client, all of the carriage returns are stripped from the original email. HTML formatting is a nice idea on SW's part, but it seems to me that they just need to switch back to plain text for now until they conduct further testing.

I can't stress enough how annoying this is. My operations team and I have spent a good chunk of man-hours just trying to figure out a way around it. Not to mention the lost productivity in my support staff because they can no longer simply click on a link from our ticketing system.
