Thanks for the info, but that didnt work. It a hp g5 sserver fresh build. I am thinking it might have something to do with the setup

I would strongly recommmend upgrading to NPM 9.1 SP1. Web performance is much better in the current version than in 8.1.

Your problem is the database is located on the same machine as the poller and web....and only 2gb of ram. Put the DB on another machine, and you will see performance spike. Double the ram and watch it only get better.
