Today the Orion server is inoperable. We can not bring up any node/interface reports. On the Orion server it is running at 100% CPU and the w3wp.exe process is using all the CPU.
Any ideas? Anyone else noticing this after upgrading to V9?
If you have McAfee VS Enterprise v8.0i or above check that you have 'Buffer Overflow Protection' disabled, or exempt W3WP.EXE from McAffee altogether
We are running Innoculan.
Also I am narrowing this down to one router that we need to get a report from. The BW on that interface was high and we are tryign tp pull that report. If we reload the Orion server and use top 10 or and other node interface report other than the router/interface in question it appears fine.
Problem is that the router/interface we need is a critical interface.
I haven't seen this before with V9.0 I would open a support ticket...
A Report or a Chart for your specific interface?
Have you tried that report from the Report Writer console on the server for that interface?
The issue is with a chart when choosing an interface.
Also the CPU is not winning at 54% steady and I am tryign to find out why.
There is a 100% CPU utilization bug seen in this thread:
We have a fix for it going into the service pack, but the workaround in the thread my get you around it until the service pack is available. Basically, you're looking for -2 values in the CPULoad view.
