Solarwinds Newbie here... I have taken over a solarwinds instance and have no clue what hot fixes have been installed how can i find this out??
Hi Kelly, I hope this helps:
Verify hotfixes that have been installed - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
Thanks @john.ta I checked there and didn't see anything.I was just trying to make sure that i was looking in the right places. I should have googled a little harder!
Is there a particular hotfix you are looking to verify whether it has been installed or not? If so, I could possibly provide some additional details.
I was actually looking any of the hot fixes for npm 11.5.2
You should only install a hot fix if you are experiencing an issue that is resolved by it. It is not like a Windows Update where everyone should always apply them.
With that being said, there are four (4) for NPM 11.5.2:
Hot Fix 1 = Provides a license-free version of QoE (v2.0.5) for use in NPM
Hot Fix 2 = Fixes issues where interface names contain lot of trailing zeros, and low processing performance of UnDP DataProcessing results showing old data or in a long MSMQ queue
Hot Fix 3 = Fixes issues where if database maintenance starts before midnight but not completed before midnight, you may lose interface statistics and when creating a report on interfaces the details URL may not be available (cumulative with Hotfix 2)
Hot Fix 4 = Fixes issues where data polled using multicast routing poller have incorrect timestamps, multicast routing roller returns 0, multi-cast data might not be processed and recorded, and incorrect SSID displayed for Ruckus wireless clients (cumlative with Hotfixes 2/3)
Thank you! i only need Hot Fix 1 i believe. Client wants to start utilizing QOE Licenses.
