We manually added all of our nodes along time ago. Is there a way to to connect now to work in the Network Atlas by doing a discovery even though the nodes are manually added?
Have you watched the ConnectNow video here?
Yea, if you just export the current list of nodes to csv for example and then create a new discovery profile and select bulk upload or the last option and paste in the current nodes and run the discovery job. Once completed, you don't need to import them since they are already in the system.
what is the best way to export the list to csv?
I think I might have this now x-fingers
ok I did this but connect now in the atlas still says ' 0 discovered links mapped'...any thoughts
Is this still the recommended method of getting ConnectNow to work? Where do you export into a CSV from? Thanks!
I am experiencing the same problem. I upgraded from NPM 9.5 to 10 today. I then ran a new network discovery to rediscover all the devices on certain subnets and import their topology. ConnectNow still says 0 discovered links. LANSurveyor is able to correctly show me the links between the same switches.
I had troubles getting this to work when NPMv10 came out as well... (support told me to do a scheduled discovery, which had to run on schedule and not manually, that didnt work but the tutorial video did)
I watched the connectnow video which I saw while browsing.... I followed the tutorial exactly and it discovered links afterwards (although it did not detect them correctly but for that I already have a support ticket open).
Didnt even use csv, just did a report with just the IPs of every node and did a copy/paste, worked perfect
Hey Questinario--
Thanks for the feedback.
