If so, how? I presume for Windows servers, you could do it via Event Viewer, but I was hoping for something a little more universal.
Thanks,

The following sections of the Administrators Guide should get you pointed in the right direction.
I usually grab these via Universal Device Poller. For example, Dell typically responds well to OID=1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.31 (StorageManagement-MIB:arrayDiskSmartAlertIndication)

Thanks, Zack. I'll look at that.
SAM's current Hardware Health monitoring is already SMART aware and can notify you of impending disk failures.
Where can I find the Hardware Health monitor? I'm using SAM 6.1.1.
Also, I'm noticing that I'm not getting emails about replies to threads I start like I used to on the old page. How do I enable that?
justinh, have you double checked your "preferences" to make sure they didn't change?
You can get to your preferences from the drop down menu of your name.
From here you can see if your notifications to inbox/email are turned on:
Let me know if this doesn't resolve the issue and I can work with you offline to troubleshoot.

Awesome. For some reason I hadn't noticed the "Hardware Health" bit when adding devices. There's some good info there. Can you give me an idea why some nodes wouldn't have a "Disk" section under Hardware Health or is that just too broad a subject?
I couldn't figure out how to PM you. My settings are set up just as your screen shots above. Keep in mind, I'm comparing this to how it was when it was just a forum here. When I created a thread or replied to a thread, it would automagically subscribe me to that thread and I would receive emails when anyone added a response to it. Is it possible to do that in the current iteration of the website?
Any thread you create or reply to you should be subscribed to automatically. You can also manually subscribe/unsubscribe from any thread by clicking the "Follow" button on the right side nav.
It may also be that the Thwack email notifications are being blocked by a SPAM filter. I recommend checking your SPAM folder or spam quarantine if you're using any type of anti-spam gateway device.
Ok, I think I see. I'm subscribed to the thread, but it won't send me an email saying that there's been a reply unless I have the "Everything in my Inbox page" setting change to Yes, correct? If so, is there some reason those emails aren't part of the "Direct social actions" setting?
FYI, I checked our spam filtering appliance and there are no messages that have the words solarwinds or thwack in the subject or from fields that were for me. I don't do spam filtering on my Inbox at the Exchange or Outlook level. Also, I receive my weekly summaries.
Thanks for the assistance,
