Migrating IPAM 2.0 to a new city.

Can anyone point me to a url that has the instructions on how to move an IPAM module to a new NPM server located in a different city. Is it just a mater of dumping the IPAM DB and parking the license then reinstalling the IPAM app and restoring the DB to the new SQL Server?

We were able to get this complete. Ended up making sure both version were at the same level then we BCP'd everything in the DB that had to do with IPAM. Re ran the solarwinds configuration and it worked. We have been live on our "Migrated" IPAM for a couple weeks now.

Are you currently running IPAM 2.0 as a standalone?

No. Its part of a NPM suite in another city. I need to remove it from that npm enviroment and onto a new one that will host the west coast.

Your best bet would be to contact support- It's not too easy to extricate and merge the IPAM tables into an existing Orion DB, in fact I don't think it's supported.

If you don't need historical stats on the new location then you could export/ import your addresses.

sounds like it would be safer to go to a stand-alone IPAM in the new location with the current DB.
