Maybe I am missing something obvious...
Once a rule is created in the Policy Reporter, how do you change the grouping? Also, if you go to Rules->New Rule and create a rule that way, where do you specify the grouping?
Anyone?
Grouping is designated at the policy level instead of the rule level. If you have a rule that you would like to see in a report, then I recommend opening File > Policy Creation Wizard, select to skip ahead to Policies, create a new Policy with the appropriate Grouping, assign the policy to the appropriate devices, indicate whether the policy applies to the running or startup configs, and assign the desired rule(s) to the policy. Continue through the remaining steps to create a report and assign the policy to the report.
I don't think the question was answered. I am looking to do the same thing. I have a rule created under the group "Cisco Services." I want to move a rule to the group "Cisco Denial of Service." How do I do that?
bprocter, you're right. Please open up a support ticket on this issue so we can tracked this properly. I'm going to give dev a heads-up this is coming their way. I expect we'll want to work with the folks in this thread to test out a temporary resolution prior to our next release.
Is there any update on this at the current time? (i.e even a temporay resolution).
Dave.

A quick workaround is to open the Cirrus database using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or the SolarWinds Database Manager, open the PolicyRules table, locate the appopriate policy under the Name column and change the associated Grouping field from Cisco Services to Cisco Denial of Service.
Thanks Haley!
It's a reasonable time in Australia - which means that this must be a totally unreasonable time in the US - don't you sleep??
