Hello,
I´m looking for a way to know if a Cisco rack blade is On.
In our overview I can't managed them:
Thanks!
Remi.
Ah yes. I've had a few calls with the PM's to improve the data they pull from UCS but no improvement yet.
Approach I am taking is too pull in the data I want through UCS Powershell API then stuffing what I want into node custom properties in SWIS SDK. Maybe a field marked serial number to associate blade to node then powerstate to hold your status value?
how brave are you?
I have them in Solarwinds now with Status Only ICMP:
You got to add them separately for each blade (with the IP Adress) and then you will see them in your UCS overview.
Correct but you have the blades added by their managenent address and not the OS IP address?
if you monitor the OS IP address you will not see a link back to the UCS blade/chassis etc.
I have added them by their management address and when I am opening the IP with a web browser I will see this page:
As I've seen- if you have an OS issue and its a hardware issue you will not see that through the UCS relationships
in the same way that the virtual pages do.
I'll play with group membership and AppStack and see if I can get it to show the relationship.
