Hi,
May I know why when I right click on the DB itself, there is no backup option etc? What is needed to be done?
Previously there is backup, restore option etc.
Have you confirmed that the account for solarwinds has the correct permissions on the SQL server? This seems like a permissions issue.
how do I go about checking the permission on the SQL server?
when i try to delete the existing DB or re-add the DB, i am unable to.
My account is a member of the Domain Admins group which allows me full access through inheritance. If you have a SQL admin you may need to consult with them and add the SolarWinds Admin account or whatever account your using to perform this action to one (or all) of the following groups "SQLServerMSSQLUser", "SQLServerMSSQLServerAd HelperUSer", and "SQLServer2005SQLBrowseruser". This is done from the Windows security console not through the SolarWinds application.
I got a reply from Solarwinds tech stating that Solarwinds Developer team had remove these features from NPM 10.4 RC. Puzzle why they suddenly remove it when it was benefits all of us.
I know you can use SQL Server Managment Studio to perform this function as well. It may be an alternate solution while they work out the details for the final release.
Curious why the NPM Core Components guide still lists the process as using the Database Manager, and why this functionality was removed.
