Okay.

Navigate to your Orion server's desktop. Open Advanced Alerts Manager. Click on 'Configure Alerts'.

Choose the 'notify me if a node goes down' default alert.

In the 'trigger actions' tab, is 'NetPerfMon Event Log - Node ${NodeName} is ${Status}' one of the configured actions?

If not, add it.

If it is, go back the list of alerts and verify that your 'notify me if a node goes down' alert is enabled (checkbox on left).

And as a workaround to keep you going with your daily tasks, check the node downs from manage nodes view,

Settings -> Under Node & Group Management (Manage Nodes) -> Group by Filter on left hand side (Select [No Grouping] from drop down) -> Search for 'Down' against Show Nodes.

If you want to drill it down on a daily basis you can create a report or a email alert.
