yes, there are severeal application monitor templates that do that.
you can check if the emails arrived with either pop3 or mapi I believe, not 100% if IMAP was an option as well but you can check the monitor templates if you own APM.

Check in APM for the User Experience Monitors, there are several for testing round trip email. I think those will do what you are looking for... or at least come pretty close. = )
I made an Imap APM agent, and I´m receiving an email like below, but I´m receiving error message below :

that means that either the server you are trying to send the email with did not accept a connection on the port you selected. its either the imap or the smtp server, most probably the smtp server.
the server you enter within that monitor is the server that must accept smtp connections to send your email, maybe you mistook that for the IMAP server?
