Do you have Cirrus installed on the same box? If so, try to register this dll ->

Still no luck
Try going into Add/Remove Programs and running the 'Repair' option for your Orion installation and if that does not work you might consider a re-install then :-(

Your best bet would be to open a ticket. Disclose that you have tried the known workarounds for this error to no avail and you might include what is installed on that box (setup). ActiveX is needing a component that cannot be found or is registered incorrectly.

I get the same error and the CatTools (3.7.0) service is set up to start up automatically, yet it keeps starting and then stopping with "ActiveX component can't create object" in module CatToolsMan.frm (line 140). This is on one of two domain controllers set up with the same default domain controllers group values set, so it seems like a local setting and not a group one. Is it an advanced IE setting involving ActiveX?
