HOW TO grab a jpg/png of the new chart formats

I apologize if this is covered somewhere and I just overlooked it.

In 10.2 and earlier, you could right-click charts and save as a PNG file.

While the new charts are spiffy in so many ways, I can't figure out how to grab a graphic of it so I can insert it into emails, documents, etc.

Any ideas?

Actually, you CAN both save and copy the chart.

Right click blank space within resource ~ Save and select format instead of svg.

Right click blank space within resource ~ Copy then paste it anywhere (this is as close to export as it gets.

I agree with you through, it would be nice if you could export the whole chart, including the series/legend at the bottom.

I just use the snipping tool built into Windows 7.

That or there are capture tools like DuckCapture, or even ALT+PRINTSCRN and an editor like Irfanview.

I snip about 10 times a day. A quick export tool would be much nicer...

Hi there,

Here's what you could do.

1. Hold Shift down and click on the SolarWinds logo in the bottom right corner of the chart.

2. Hold Alt down and hit Print SCRN on your keyboard to capture the selected window in your clipboard.

You can now paste the image in a mail.

While I appreciate the responses, they are all variations of "capture the whole screen to the clipboard and then crop it in another tool".

Even my current method (a plugin in Firefox) is a multi-step process (right click, tell the plugin I want the visible screen, drag to select the area I want, save to clipboard, go to my target application, paste).

While I'm not asking for the new interactive charts to ALSO be static, I'm surprised there's no option to "lock" the graph into a static image and then right-click, copy to clipboard (as with the old style graphs).

If anything I would have expected it to be an option on the "Export" screen, along with the "Raw Data" option.

Which browser is this in? When I right-click blank space within resource the only option I get is Save Page, which is the entire page in HTML.
