anyone know the cause for this?
I suspect this may be related to a known issue regarding the fact that the Notepad++ binaries are not signed.
Please see this Thwack thread for a discussion on how to address the question of unsigned binaries with Configuration Manager.

This looks like a Configuration Manager dialog to me.
it is indeed sir. Sorry Should have explained it (to many things going on at once) anyways this is what I am prompted with when trying to deploy certain Patch Manager updates via sccm.
Is there a list of which patches have valid signatures?
The Package Description should contain a note if the binary is unsigned.
Earlier versions of Patch Manager will not succeed in downloading the content and works only from v1.85. Exclamation message with pop-up when downloading and publishing the content as the Notepad++ is not a digitally signed application. Refer : http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/4786/
I see a similar note in VLC Media Player.
