I am wondering if anyone knows of an easy to backup the orion event log in an easy format. I am trying to take the last months events and back them up or export them to something, like word or similar type format.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Be careful what you wish for, depending on your environment, this could be a significant amount of data.
First check your Events retention time frame on the Orion server (Admin> Database Details> Retain Events
Take the report of "Last 250 Events" modify it to show all records and change the timeframe for last month, or last 30days. Make sure it's viewable from the web page box is checked. "Save As" the report with a new name...
Go to the web site and get its URL. Open report scheduler and schedule it to run on the 1st of every month.
