Our client would like to manage the following devices by CatTools.

Juniper (SRX Series)

Is it possible that we manage these devices by the existing device types?

Hi chito,

Try the Juniper.Router device type. The router that this device script was based on used the Junos O/S, so you may have some luck with it supporting your Juniper switches too.

hi spartacus,

we have some juniper srx 240 and are using juniper.router to do the configuration backup. that works. but it is not possible to report the arp information. i think the expected format of show arp to not match with junos.router. is there a way to modify the junos.router script?

I'm afraid the Juniper.Router out-the-box script can only be customized internally by the CatTools product development team. It is not customizable by end-users. I'd therefore recommend raising a support ticket feature request.

Once you get the automated response message back; reply with the following information:

a) a PuTTY log of the ARP table command request and its output.

b) version of the Junos O/S on your system.
