Not receiving any alerts

I have many alerts set up based on node status or % utulization and all, but i am not receiving emails when they alerts occur. They used to work before upgrading to 8.0.2. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is it Advanced Alerts that aren't forwarding to email?
I'm experiencing a similar issue with V8.0.2 but only for Advanced Alerts - Basic Alerts work ok, although if I also add in a send net message to the same Advanced Alert, this does work!

It is just basic alerts, i dont have many advanced alerts yet to really test with

That's funny. I haven't upgraded to v8 yet and my alerts just stopped working.
I just submitted a trouble ticket but I'm sure they'll want me to run through the configuration wizard.

Stupid question, but have you assured the alerting service is running? I had a similar problem and overlooked this.

Yes this service is started, it sends and alert when i do a test alert, but not when somehting really happens.

Well...my problem turned out to be McAfee VirusScan Enterprise. Someone changed my policy so port 25 was being blocked.
