job.worker.engine proccess spawns out of control

Question

I'm running PM 9.0 with service pack 2.   The job worker engine process spawns out of control constantly.  I'll get about 100 instances of the process before PM crashes.  If I stop the scheduler and engine services the problem does not continue.  I've tried runnning the wizard and re-installing the services with no luck.  I've also gone to add/remove programs and tried repairing PM also with no luck.

Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions?

Thanks for the update.
Did support provide you with any details as to what was happening?
I just upgraded last week, so I've been on the server console adding things and it has been less than responsive which is why I started checking the forums.

They had me re-run the configuration wizard.  Database,services, and website.  It seems to have fixed the problem.  At least for the past 24 hours

I've noticed my system has had this process running pretty high as well. Did support come up with anything?
