Suppressing alert for node

Question

I have an alert configured to fire when interface recv or xmit errors-this hour are greater than 1000.  The alert works fine, but found out the hard way 
 that the alert suppression tab will not provide me with the results I desire.  Someone recommended creating another condition group in the trigger condition to exclude the unwanted nodes from making the alert fire.  Can someone give me an example of this? I'll be specifying the node by node name.  Thanks ahead of time.

Use "NodeName is not equal to XXXXXX" on the Trigger Conditions tab.

I appreciate the link to the document.  However, it does not seem to address my specific request regarding excluding a particular nodename from causing an alert to fire.
