What is a web garden?

In the release notes for Orion 10.1 on page 6 it states

"Orion NPM is not compatible with installations of Internet Information Services version 6.0 (IIS6) that make use of web gardens."

First, what is a web garden

Second, if this is a default Orion server, was it previously configured to use web gardens because we have not changed this setting.

I'm pretty sure it is set to 1 by default. From what I understand it would only become a problem if you increase the number of worker processes that the application pool can use.

Thanks but we have been there and it really doesn't help. What I am refering to is our Orion 9.5.1 IIS6 shows a web garden count of 1. We did not make this change so either it is set that way by IIS during its install or by Orion. In either case it is a a 1 on all of our 9.5.1 servers. Does this mean that we are using it?
