i was looking online and i found the base requirements for Orion NPM which i was told were the same for an additional poller..
do i really need IIS? does the additional poller act as backup web portal too??

The additional poller does not have a web portal. It's just another polling engine which you can poll your nodes so you can balance the server load. So you shouldn't need IIS. Hope this helps.
