I have a similar issue where Cirrus just hangs pretty often. It opens up but I can't clik on anything or if I am able to get ot something it freezes up. I have to kill that session and open Cirrus again. Usually the 2nd time it works better. Very frustrating.BB
We are seeing the same issue since the upgrade. It is actually taking much longer than 30 seconds, several minutes. I'm not sure if it has to do with the amount of nodes we monitor or some bug. Has anyone heard anything for SW?
Thanks. Jeff
See below,
Jon, This appears to be a device issue. Please advise of the hardware you are using. Could you also send a capture file of wireshark, as well as the device type info, operating sys. Thanks.
I sent these details to support and haven't heard anything since, also this is the exact same info they asked for when the problem was reported previously and as far as I know we haven't changed any switches or added any new ones.
I'll let you know when and if I hear anything.
Jon
See below response from support, it worked for me.
I have reviewed the Wire shark and found that the SNMP version 1 is not liking the get next command. Please try the following on your Cirrus. The lightning bolt by the file in teh toolbar un check this so it is greed out then re check it to where it comes back up.
I've had the same problem. For me it was the amount of configurations saved from my nightly downloads. I must have had 4 months worth on over 250 devices. It took me 30 minutes to open CIrrus and have it usable.
I did two things. One made sure that all device configs where saved in the backup directory. Then cleared out all the saved configs from the database. That fix the loading time.

I find this thread interesting. I do not believe we have experienced quite the same issue. There are times when Cirrus is using over 50% of the CPU. Typically we stop and restart the application which resolves the immediate issue.
We currently have Cirrus 3.5.1 DLX on a Windows 2000 server running Citrix; 4GB ram an one CPU. This system is also used for LANsurveyor. The system will be upgrade to dual CPU and Windows 2003 next month.
We have Cirrus running with a local copy of SQLexpress 2005 SP2 and have a more than 4 months of configuration files for over a 1000 devices.
