how do i generate a report from a custom filter? preferably in excel?
If you click on the little gear above the filters you can choose to "send to nDepth". Once you have it in nDepth you can make it a scheduled search which will then email you a CSV based on the schedule you have set.

do you have any more info on making it a scheduled search ? not quite sure how to configure that ...
Once you have sent your search to nDepth there is a gear in the upper right hand side of the display, click on that gear and save the search. Now that the search is saved you can use that same gear icon and select the schedule option, form there you can schedule the search.
