Backup Switches over NCM Script

Question

Hi,

im getting desperated at the Moment...

I do a backup with the NCM every night and that works fine but i Need also to save the config to a other tftp sever so i tried to build a script for it.

Now im getting a Little bit helpless because the ssh script didnt resolv any variavle and for example when i used @filename the script copy the file to a file named @filename. I tried a lot of Things i found at the community but Nothing worked :-(

Maybee someone have a idea About my issue. What i want is

start a script over the schedule that

1. logs in over ssh

2. do a copy running-config tftp 1.2.3.4 to a filename that should be hostname.date

I tried About 100 scripts and Things but Nothing worked for me :-(

Got it.

Are you using Scripts or Config Change Templates? Scripts in NCM execute commands. Meaning you just need to type the commands as you would into an SSH/CLI session.

Hi,

i know there is a schedule to Export the configs. The main issue is that we have a tftp Server in a other Location where the Switch should do a backup also. I thought i do a second Task for the System to logon to the Switches and start a copy running-config to tftp.

You can export configs out of NCM to another location.
