Monitor a server (node) not directly connected to the network

Question

I have a couple nodes that are not directly connected to the network. They have 2 nics, one is a promiscuous, and the other is connected to another system via xover cable (private network) THe other server IS connected to the network. Is it possible to install a collector or agent of some sort on the second system that will poll the system that is connected to it via xover cable...?

You would need to purchase a remote poller license, which in my opinion, due to the cost of the license, probably isn't worth it to monitor only a single node. I guess it would depend on how important it is to monitor this node. A cheaper alternative would be to add another network interface to the device you're trying to monitor and make that accessible to your Orion server.
