FullName Column in dbo.Interfaces Does Not Update After Changing Node Name

Question

I changed the names for our Brocade switches and even after a forced redisocvery this update did not propogate down.  I would think it would.

Since I had recently added the node I deleted the node made sure the node was gone in the DB then added it back.  I didn't feel like writing the SQL query to change that portion of the FullName.

Is this a bug or this is expected behavior?

Thanks for the links,  ecklerwr1.  After reading it looks like this is normal behavior for NPM if you decide to rename a node.  Good to know.

It's not like this is an everyday occurence.  I'm cleaning up a network,  which includes a  (new) standard naming scheme.  We weren't monitoring these devices before.  After adding them I realized an inconsistency in naming and changed the node name and I assumed it would  propogagte down. It did not. Hence my question.
