Orion 8.1 - NT/Active Directory Authentication

Hi there

I have managed to setup a Domain user with access using NTFS permissions and domain account as the Orion user account.

Can I do this using a domain group instead of individual users?

Ken,

The support is not for groups, actually. It is for individual accounts. The only group that is supported is the Everyone group. This will be noted in the "Using Windows Pass-Through Security" section, step 11, where the Everyone group is mentioned. Everywhere else, as far as I can see, states that this is a mapping of user accounts, not groups.

It certainly would be nice to be able to use group accounts as opposed to individual accounts. This is something that has come up several times, but I don't believe anyone has been able to get this to work.

Can any of the s/winds team help shed light on this?

The manual says yes but when you add domain group in the format "domain\group" as user, you are prompted to login into the website.
