Config Change Report:Missing Nodes and changes

Question

Seems that my config change rpt is missing changes and not posting them.  I have my configs (if changed) downloaded at 2am every night.  at 3am the config change reprot runs. Config change rpt looks at changes made the past 1 day.

I made changes yesterday on a nyc firewall and those changes are not being published by this report.  My pervious config was downloaded in the database was 3/27/08.  I have a 4/3/08 config.  But I have no "diff" report of the changes for nyc firewall.  I have report changes for other things that were modified yesterday 4/3,

Modified the same report to go back 2 days. Nothing  was on reporte for this NYC firewall.

Again, config was downloaded.  Could it be that since the config was manually downloaded yesterd on 4/3/08@4pm not pulled into the database @ 2am on 4/4, that cirrus "missed" these changes?  Report is pulling only changes made the past 1 day.  But that still does make sense, 4/3 and 4/4 are different days.

My disappointment for this product grows a a daily basis,

Ok, thanks for that.   I haven't heard this problem from other customers but I can definitely understand that reliability of change comparisions is paramount.  Please submit a support ticket and we'll get to the bottom of this.  I'll let them know this is coming.

Running the 4.01 release.  My config change report is running, but it isn't comparing for my NYC firewall past 24hr changes. other changes appear to be  put into the html report that I have being written to a directory.  Now I don't know if I can trust the product. If is skipping nyc firewall today, what about next week?

Which brings up my next question, why do you guys keep on writing the same .gif/jpg  (header/space.gif) files for each .html report I produce?

Can't cirrus just use the same graphic files in one directory for the report? I have 30 html files and 30 directories that contain the same  two "header/spacer" files.

Or give me the option to product an "html only" report that doesn't have the graphics.

Reason we don't email out the change report is the size. over 100k adds up in email. Thats why it is written out on a webserver

We'll definitely get you running with your config change report, but is there a reason you're not using the config change notification built into the backup job?   This is what most of of the customers I've talked use quite frequently for the use-case you described.
