Account Limitation Problem....

Question

Running NPM 9.1 SP1 SLX.

When making an Account Limitation based on Node Name Pattern with more than 1 "wildcard" (eg. *FRPAR* OR *FRLIS*) then the Interface details on the accounts view dissapears (!) When using only 1 "wildcard (eg. *FRPAR*) then everything is OK....

I tried everything - changed the default summary view, admin rights, npm settings. Nothing helped. We have a lot of other accounts with no limitations working perfectly....

It looks like this issue is with the "Current Percent Utilization of each interface" resource.  If you go into admin and add the "Traffic and percent Utilization of each Interface" to the node details view your interfaces will show back up.

It is set up as a Node Name Pattern under Account Limitations.

When You use OR - Solarwinds shows nodes which contains either of the characters in the node name (FRPAR or FRLIS in the example). The users view shows all nodes fine. But when You drill into Node details on a node, there are no Interfaces...

Tried changing to AND in the Node name Pattern instead - this is resulting in Solarwinds only showing the nodes that have all characters in the name... (none)...

Someone having the same problem?

when you say " (eg. *FRPAR* OR *FRLIS*) " are you creating 2 limitations?  If so when you create 2 limitations there is no option for "OR" it is always an "AND".
